A celebration of the great Ravi Shankar’s 75th birthday, this concert recorded live at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1995, is a double CD set. A very special performance by the sitar maestro, accompanied brilliantly by tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain. Assisted on sarode by Ravi Shankar’s disciple Partho Sarathy.

Originally released in 1995 to celebrate Ravi Shankar's 75th birthday, this live recording of a historic concert at London's Royal Albert Hall was hailed by Billboard as the year's best classical CD by “the most famous Indian Musician on the Planet”- according to All Music Guide’s Ken Hunt. On Concert For Peace Ravi is accompanied on tabla by virtuoso Zakir Hussain and on sarod by his own student (and virtuoso in his own right), Partha Sarathy.

Posthumously Ravi Shankar was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2013
